I had previously written about Proteus but now have some more recent facts to add. Below is the list of features from Imeo, outlining the functionality of Proteus. Note the addition of a 'secret feature' on line 23.
Proteus's Electronic specifications:
1. Atomizer detection
2. Working atomizer check
3. Battery check
4. On/Off Mode
5. 18 seconds cutoff
6. Short circuit protection
7. Reverse battery protection
8. Over-discharge battery protection
9. Thermal monitoring
10. Atomizer doesn't work at all when you go from one menu to another, something that saves battery and doesn't annoy the user
11. Watt range: 5-25 with 1 battery and 5-35 with 2 batteries increased by 1 watt per push of the button (please operate Proteus up to 15 watts)
12. You know when you reach the lowest and the upper limit of watts
13. It works with 1 battery 3,7 volt, with 2x3,7 volt batteries and with 2x3 volt batteries
14. Remembers your last set up
15. 8,3 ampere upper limit and 400 mA lowest limit
16. 8 volts upper limit and 0,5 volt lowest limit
17. Resistance range: 0,4-12,5 ohms
18. The smallest and thinnest electronic part today
19. It goes on and off its tube like a mobile card
20. Totally mechanical button. There is no electronic button on the pcba
21. Button comes off for cleaning without any effort. Just grab it with your nails and put it out.
22. Five colour led
23. It was VV/VW mode. I left only VW mode and I added 1 more secret feature. Ι will let you know about it when time comes.
As you can see it is a full featured list of functions that should be more than enough for any user. The smaller form factor should also be another popular feature. Coupled with a Penelope, the Proteus will make a fantastic addition to anyone's collection. There is still no date for release but it does look worth waiting for.
