It's been a long, long wait for Proteus. A major part of the wait was Imeo's designing, testing and manufacturing difficulties he had to overcome. I know nothing about the complexities involved in designing the VIR chip but I can appreciate it's not something that comes easy. Also add into this the fact that it was designed to be as small as possible, it is unbelievable how small it is.
It seems VIR/Proteus has been a task that has really pushed Imeo, the longest project in GG history. Imeo is to be admired for his desire for perfection and not rushing development despite the constant longing of GG fans everywhere.
It has been a long wait but now it looks as though we are one step closer to seeing a release. Imeo has said today that he hopes to send Proteus to his sellers in around 10 days time.
"the most possible is that I will not make preorders and send the stuff to my sellers Seek. The reason is that we will have a delay like this because we would need 1 week for preorders, 1 week for letting customers change serials etc. So, I believe that in 10 days I will send all Proteus to my sellers and they will assemble and send them to you"
"sellers will receive their reserved numbers 67, so all people on the list will be able to buy from their seller. If some people on the list dont finally buy their reservation, the seller will send to the customers (that are on the lower priority list), the lower serial they asked for.
USA serials will be send to European sellers. And some USA serials will be send to a new USA seller (if he manage to be ready until sales start)"
It would appear from this that there has still not been anything sorted out with Fluid but there is some hope for a US seller by the release date. The good news is Imeo seems ready to let Proteus out into the wild. Obviously this information is subject to change but it looks very likely that March will see the release of the next big thing in vaping. Fingers crossed!
