Merry Christmas!

I was going to cobble together a nice GG Christmas picture for this post but forum user Nudelholz has saved me the trouble by creating the picture below.

This year we have seen a number of devices from Imeo who shows no sign of slowing down. Still no Proteus but that looks to be very close to release now. Knowing Imeo he will have more surprises for GG fans next year as he continues to develop the GG brand and continue to pioneer new vaping technology.

I know not everyone celebrates Christmas so whatever you are doing I hope you enjoy the holiday period and I wish you all the best for the new year!

Pic of the Month November 2015

With some family business and Chistmas stuff to sort I completely forgot about Pic of the Month. I am sorry it took me so long to realise but here it is, better late than never. The standard of pictures was really high in November and I could have picked just about any post as a winner. The one I finally decide on is this pic by gekka.

I have no idea how he managed to get this shot but I love it. The wings on the GG with the real wings of the wild bird make an interesting pairing. I could wait a lifetime and never get a shot like this.

Congrats to gekka who wins a 10% discount off his next purchase at any GG store, just in time for Christmas. Remember for your chance to win just post your GG pictures in the GG Picture Thread.

New GG4S sizes

Imeo recently posted two videos on his Youtube channel showing two new confgurations for the GG4S. Designed to cater to those who like a small stealth vape these new models offer a perfect choice for people wanting a smaller version of the GG4S.

I'm not too sure when these will be available but expect them to appear soon in all the usual places. I think they both look really good with the mix of metals. The 18350 looks about the size of a thumb so is probably the shortest GG in the range now.

I know that there are a lot of vapers who love the small sized end of the market and these two will be just perfect. A great choice by Imeo to offer these.

Sign This Petition!

Currently there is a big push to get vapers everywhere to sign a petition against the FDA's Tobacco Deeming Regulations. 100,000 signatures are needed by the 26th of November and the current total is nearly at 53,000. So it's just over half way there. Please take a minute out of your day to go and sign the petition, it's very easy. Share this if you can and let everyone know that more signatures are needed.

There are millions of vapers so getting 100,000 people to sign should be easy, however it seems to be quite hard getting people on board. If you love vaping and want to help protect it for the future please, please, sign the petition. If the FDA gets their way it could start the ball rolling for negative changes to vaping everywhere. Don't let them win!

Congrats EsmokeGuru!

As you can see from the image above EsmokeGuru was ranked second in a vote for best online vape store 2015 by visitors to ecigarettereviewed.com. Click the link to see the full list of stores that were up for voting.

Obviously Vassilis and his team must be doing something right to be so highly thought of. I know EsmokeGuru pride themselves on great customer service and this reflects in the results of the vote.

Congratulations to Vassilis and all the team, fingers crossed they make it to number one next year!

Rebuilding the Springomizer

The Springomizer makes rebuilding a coil a job you can do in an instant. All you need do is push the spring/coil in, rewick and you're done. The coils themselves can be bought from the GG resellers for a very cheap price but what if you want to make your own? Being the inquisitive type I pulled my coil out and stretched it on the first day. In case I needed a spare I decided to go about making my own.

Home made (top) and original coil

In the picture above you can see the coil I made on top with the real thing at the bottom. I used the 2.5mm coiling tool you can see below to wrap a tight coil. Then, leaving the coil on the tool, I stretched the coil out so it looked more like the original.

2.5mm Coiling Tool

With a bit of tweaking I came up with what you see in the last picture. I used 0.45mm 317L SS wire to wrap the coil and I think I did about 14 turns. I'm not sure what the ohms are as I forgot to check. In the picture you can see I could have used less turns so around 12 turns would probably have been better.

Blurry final result
I'm happy with the final result although I could probably improve upon it. It was really just a test to see if I could make my own spares as I have plenty of wire to mess around with. I just thought I would share this in case anyone ran out of coils or was interested in making their own.
